Indonesia focused exploration and development company, Asiamet Resources (ARS) FOLLOW has received key approvals to advance their 100% owned BKM copper project in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The Government of Indonesia has approved the feasibility study put forth by Asiamet, deeming the project met national regulatory standards and also abided by Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) guidelines.

Recent infill and geotechnical drilling is likely to render the BKM feasibility study better suited for external project financing.

As part of the AMDAL, the company demonstrated BKM’s execution plans included a sustainable pathway for development and community engagement. The company has said they received “overwhelming support” from the local community to achieve these ends.

Typically, securing AMDAL approval can take from six months to a year, marking Asiamet’s quick turnover as a success.

Coupled with the Government of Indonesia’s ratification of the company’s feasibility study, the timeline for development of the BKM copper project has been significantly de-risked.
