Caracal Gold (GCAT), the gold producer with operations in East Africa, updated on its operations and exploration activities for the quarter ended 31 March 2022. The company said it was “delighted” with the “sterling” progress made in the first quarter - with the expansion of its team and appointment of a new mining manager, exploration manager and also the Hon. Ambassador Dan Kazungu and ESG expert Rachel Johnston. All are a “major boon” for the company as it commences a next phase of growth acceleration at Kilimapesa and gets ready to fire the starting gun at our new acquisitions in Tanzania.

Cornish Metals (CUSN), a mineral exploration and development company,  announced the results of the Special Meeting of shareholders held on May 19, 2022  to seek to raise proceeds of up to £40,500,000. The company said the results of the Special Meeting reflect very strong shareholder support for the investment by Vision Blue. 

Artemis Resources Limited (ARV) said that on 19 May 2022, Mr Alastair Clayton, Executive Director of Artemis, purchased 1,250,000 shares around the 2.1p level. As a result of this, Mr. Alastair Clayton holds 7,250,000 Shares or 0.5% of ARV.

DeepMatter Group (DMTR), the digital chemistry data and software company, has renewed its long-term commercial relationship with Springer Nature, a global research publisher for a further three years. The Agreement is expected to generate revenues of at least €206,000 during the term.

UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) said that West Sussex County Council has approved, by a 7-2 majority vote, a 2-year planning permission extension to its Broadford Bridge-1z Kimmeridge oil discovery, located in licence PEDL234 (UKOG 100%). The planning extension runs until 31st March 2024.

Technology Minerals (TM1), the battery metals specialist, announces that it has completed the sale of an initial 10 per cent interest in the company's registered claims in its wholly owned US cobalt/copper projects; the Blackbird Creek Project and Emperium Project Lemhi County, Idaho, United States of America, to Bluebird Metals LLC for a cash consideration of £900,000.

ANGLE (AGL), a liquid biopsy company, said that Prostate Cancer UK has approved funding for a significant clinical study at Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The study will investigate the use of the Parsortix® system to isolate circulating tumour cells as a predictor of future disease recurrence. The trial is being funded by a £750,000 grant from Prostate Cancer UK.

MGC Pharmaceuticals (MXC), a European based bio-pharma company, has had a peer reviewed paper into the Effect of ArtemiC™ in patients with COVID-19 published in the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. The Phase II prospective study of 50 patients all with COVID-19 concludes that "ArtemiC curbed deterioration, possibly by limiting the cytokine storm of COVID-19, and bears great promise for COVID-19 patients, particularly in those with comorbidities."

Mast Energy Developments (MED), the UK operator in the Reserve Power market, said that Pieter Krügel has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of MED from 1 June 2022. Mr. Krügel previously worked as the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Kibo Group. Prior to this, he has held senior financial and executive roles over the past 15 years, with specific reference to the energy and resources industries.
