Sound has announced in an Eastern Morocco update that it has received the EIA approval from the Ministry for the building of the gas treatment plant including CPF, including an option for gas liquefaction which enables LNG development as phase 1 of the FDP and a TGEP led full field development as phase 2.
The company also states that following discussions with the appropriate Ministries to obtain rights through a long-term lease agreement for a 50m wide corridor along the entire 120 km length of the TGEP, formal land access approvals have been received from the Ministry of Interior and the Forestry Department and the Company will now seek to agree the tariff for the land access with the Ministry.
These are indeed important milestones for the company as they progress to FID for each phase of the Concession field development and eventual monetisation of the Eastern Moroccan assets.
