Union Jack Oil (UJO) FOLLOW on Friday afternoon announced that it has been granted planning consent for the development of the Wressle Oil Field.

The Planning Inspectorate upheld the appeal of the North Lincolnshire Council and granted Union Jack Oil planning consent for licences PEDL180 and PEDL182, of which Union Jack Oil hold a 27.5% economic interest.

The Inspector also allowed Union Jack to apply for award of costs against the North Lincolnshire Council.

The decision marks the end of an over 2 year drama after the North Lincolnshire County Council's Planning Committee refused to grant planning consent for the Wressle development against the recommendation of their Planning Officer in July 2017.
