Contract Win and Update
Vulcan Industries (AQSE: VULC) is pleased to announce new contract wins for Orca Doors.
Orca Doors Limited ("Orca Doors"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Vulcan, has recently completed a £100,000 contract for Hobson & Porter, an award-winning construction firm.
The business has also won a contract for the supply and fit of a significant number of fully encapsulated hospital doors specifically designed to limit the spread of Covid-19 and MRSA for the
Orca Doors has agreed a strategic alliance with 123 Fire Doors for the supply of all doors for
Orca Doors is now adding additional shift patterns and investing in an additional CNC Machine to expand capacity to meet increasing demand while adding product lines including a range of anti-ligature doors designed in-house in partnership with Daubneys.
Orca Doors' skilled craftsmen and their attention to detail have enabled the Company to develop strong relationships with key partners and potential new customers to ensure all contracts are fulfilled with strict adherence to design briefs, quality and environmental standards.
Ian Tordoff, Chairman, commented; "We have been impressed by the turn-around at Orca Doors after a difficult 18 months trading with the sales and production teams now working extremely well. The volume of new orders is testament to the quality of the products we produce and the planned investment in new machines will help develop our capacity at this site."
