1. Supermarkets are being investigated by the competition watchdog over high food and fuel prices.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said it would look at whether a "failure in competition" meant customers were overpaying.

2. Royal Mail is again being investigated by the communications regulator over its missed delivery targets.

Ofcom announced the inquiry after Royal Mail said on Monday it did not meet its 2022 to 2023 quality of service targets.

3. A top businessman whose foreign companies were part of a global money laundering investigation is a major donor to the Conservative Party.

Javad Marandi, who has an OBE for business and philanthropy, can be named after losing a 19-month legal battle with the BBC to remain anonymous.

4. Center Parcs UK and Ireland has been put up for sale for a reported £4bn to £5bn, nearly double what it was first bought for just eight years ago.

The chain of six Center Parcs locations in the UK and Ireland is owned by Canadian private equity group Brookfield Property Partners. It was bought for £2.4bn in 2015.

5. EU regulators have approved Microsoft's $69bn (£55bn) attempt to purchase Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard.

So far the UK an the US have blocked the deal. In order for the deal to go through Microsoft and Activision need approval from regulatory bodies in the UK, EU and the US.
