ECR Minerals begins drilling at Black Cat gold project
Precious metals exploration and development company,
has begun drilling at its Black Cat gold prospect in Victoria, Australia. The first two holes have been successfully completed.ECR Minerals will now take composite samples, representing 4m downhole lengths, and send them to be assayed for gold.
Those composites which reveal anomalous gold grades will be “re-sampled on a metre by metre basis” before a second set of samples are inspected in an assay.
The Black Car gold prospect is situated in the Bailieston gold project area, which has been identified by several companies as having at least three known lines of quartz reef with strong gold-in-soil anomalism.
Rock chip samples at Black Cat have returned encouraging grades up to 11.3g/t gold.
