IMImobile (IMO) FOLLOW, a global cloud communications software and solutions provider, announced it is working with Vauxhall Motors to launch Apple Business Chat, an innovative customer engagement channel.

The new platform will be powered by a service technology utilised by IMImobile’s enterprise platform, enabling the UK car manufacturer to offer the messaging feature as a new communication channel to their customers.

Sudarshan Dharmapuri, Senior Vice President of Products at IMImobile, commented: "Utilising our enterprise communications platform as a service (CPaaS) technology, Vauxhall is now able to seamlessly offer Apple Business Chat as a new customer engagement channel to their customers".

Its application will offer a new dimension to the way in which Vauxhall engage with their customers, with the service enabling instant customer support, as well as granting its customers the ability to book test drives for new car models.

Due to the popularity of iOS with customers, Vauxhall Motors regards Apple Business Chat as an integral feature for streamlining communication, with its messaging feature accessible across a range of products including iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.

Jonathan Evans, Digital User Experience & E-Commerce Manager of Vauxhall Motors, hailed the new service for facilitating a strong connection between the business and its customers.

He commented: “Apple Business Chat makes communicating with Vauxhall as easy as messaging a friend, so we expect it will quickly become our customers' preferred customer service channel."

He added: “With Business Chat, customers can always reach a live person and are always in control of whether they share any contact information with a business.”
