Robert is Finance Director of transport and logistics company Europa Worldwide Group, which brought in annual revenues in excess of £175 million, Xpediator said.
Robert led the finance division of Europa from November 2015, responsible for M&A processes, facilities, refinancing and restructuring of the finance function, as well as leading HR and talent acquisition.
Xpediator also noted that before Europa, Robert held management roles at PwC specialising in Retail, Leisure and Consumer sectors, working with Private Equity houses for buy and sell side assignments.

Stephen Blyth, Chief Executive Officer of Xpediator, commented: "I am delighted Robert is joining us. He is a talented individual and comes to us from an industry peer of a similar size which ensures he has an excellent understanding of our markets and the future opportunities within them.”
He added: “Xpediator has grown substantially over the past three years and we have an ambitious growth strategy in which Robert will be centrally involved. I am also very pleased we are able to retain Richard in a key central role within the Group to which he is ideally suited."
The appointment comes a week after Xpediator appointed two new senior logistics executives, Wim Pauwels, formerly of Yusen Logistics Europe and Sony, and Charles McGurin formerly of Allport Cargo Services Group and DHL, as Non-Executive Directors on 4 November.
Current interim Chief Financial Officer will become Chief Commercial Officer and join Xpediator’s Operating Board.
