Induction Healthcare (INHCFollow | INHC, a provider of software solutions to streamline care delivery, has recently signed three new NHS patient portal development contracts totaling £1.4m.

The first contract covers three trusts in North Central London ICS and totals £486,000. The deal will enable patients using the Zesty patient portal to view their diagnostic appointment details as well as launch an Attend Anywhere video consultation.

Royal Free London has allocated £346,000 to enhance patient portal projects, including Form Builder for waitlist validation and improving Patient Initiated Follow Up (PIFU). Induction Healthcare will also be working with Royal Free London to digitise maternity records.

The contract with South West London ICB is worth £577,000 and will cover patient portal projects, including Form Builder for waitlist validation and improved integration with Oracle Health to reduce administrative burdens.

Induction CEO, Paul Tambeau, said: “These contracts also allow Induction to introduce new appointment types and to further deepen our technical integration with partners. We are also proud to be the first NHS-accredited portal provider in the UK to digitize maternity records and make it easier for expectant mothers to access their records.”

The stream of contract wins is a testament to the effectiveness of Induction’s digital health platform, further strengthened by the news that it is negotiating additional contracts across the NHS.

Induction delivers a suite of software solutions through a single integrated platform, helping healthcare providers deliver remote and in-person care. Induction’s software is designed for integration with leading Electronic Medical Record platforms, with its products providing value and amplifying benefits when integrated with existing systems.

Induction’s remote consultation platform, Attend Anywhere, has been helping the NHS to tackle times since its implementation. For example, at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 727,800 hours of waiting time have been saved since the platform was introduced in 2020, with patients waiting half as long for their consultation.
